CC4C was honored to welcome Joseph and the Frazier family into our community over 10 years ago. Their journey had been marked by isolation and uncertainty, but through connection, compassion and financial support, CC4C has become a lifeline for them. From the moment they joined, we’ve embraced the entire family with love, support, uplifting events, and a sense of belonging. Their story, as written by Angela, Joseph’s mother, reminds us why our mission matters—no family should face the challenges of a rare or undiagnosed condition alone.

Hi, my name is Betsy Hudson. I will be your champion, Joseph."

Those were the first words I ever heard from Betsy, our Champion through CC4C (Cheyanna’s Champions 4 Children). That moment marked the beginning of a life-changing journey for our family, a journey that has now spanned over ten years and continues to be an incredible blessing.

Betsy was one of the kindest, most compassionate people I have ever met. She stood by my son, Joseph, and fiercely advocated for him.

More than that, she made sure he knew he was seen, valued, and deeply cared for.

Joseph was diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome at birth. When you hear those words as a parent, you feel lost, scared, and numb. It’s an incredibly isolating experience.

But CC4C changed that for us. They didn’t just provide financial support, they became a safe haven for me as a mom.

Thanks to CC4C, I was able to secure personal importation through the FDA of a new medication from Germany until Joseph was eligible for a clinical trial in the U.S. He has now been on that medication for 9 years.

Because of their support, I’ve also been able to take Joseph to see Dr. Jennifer Miller in Florida, one of the leading specialists in Prader-Willi Syndrome who has given us so much hope along the way.

Today, Joseph is 14.

The journey continues with ongoing needs for therapies, specialized doctors, tutoring, and medications.

I’m beyond grateful that CC4C is still walking with us, helping to meet those needs.

Without the generosity of this incredible community, Joseph wouldn’t have access to many of the opportunities and care that he enjoys today.

I am so thankful to have this amazing organization and community by our side.

We are not alone.

Joseph's story is a testament to the power of community. You can be a part of that community. Here’s how you can help:

Donate: Your financial support helps provide essential therapies, medications, and specialized care for children like Joseph.

Volunteer: Become a champion for a child in your community and offer a safe haven for their family.

Spread the Word: Share Joseph's story and help us reach more families who need support.
