CHAMPION CHILDREN PROGRAM
At the start of each school year, we kick off a new CC4C Champion Child season! Every Champion Child is matched with a Dream Team of volunteers that help create magical memories and events throughout the year.
Being part of a team and having something to look forward to helps our kids feel uplifted and encouraged as they navigate medical visits, procedures, and other challenges. Our goal is to make each child feel special, loved, and included - with improved health and well-being.
CC4C serves the entire family - Champion Child families benefit from:
Financial Provision – Reimbursement for medical expenses not covered by insurance
Support and Connection – TRIBE for Moms support group, Sibling Adventure Days, resource network, and well-being supports
Hope and Joy - Magical memories and events, made possible by the child’s CC4C Dream Team!
We spotlight Champion Children for two years. Following that, they move into our Sustaining Program, where they continue to participate in memorable events, connection, and support - but with a reduced level of financial assistance. At age 18 our children graduate to Alumni status, but they remain part of the CC4C family forever!
Champion Child applications are open August-January for the following school year. To be notified when applications open, please join our e-newsletter.
To be considered as a Champion Child, a child must:
Have a rare and/or undiagnosed condition
Be between the ages of 5 and 18
Able to adapt to social situations comfortably (children are matched with volunteer groups)
*Please note: Need for support may exceed available slots and application does not guarantee acceptance. We’re growing as fast as we can to keep up and some programs are open to all, so we encourage you to apply and stay connected!
